Our season typically runs from late April through late October, depending on Mother Nature. There are five (5) tennis courts in the Town of Canmore, one (1) in Veterans Park and four (4) in Lions Park.

Guests (Non- Members)

  • Must register on the Canmoretennis.ca website to book a court and/or join Canmore Tennis
  • Bookings are $21/ hour for non-members - payment by credit card online
  • Can book 2 days in advance
  • Can make a maximum of 1 booking per day
  • Can book a maximum of 1hour singles and 2 hours doubles during prime times

Looking for Club Administrative Help!

Canmore Tennis is seeking administrative assistance. We are looking for a club volunteer or an interested community member for a part-time role with fluctuating requirements throughout the year. All the tasks are performed virtually. The busiest period is from March to the end of August. From November to March, the requirements are limited.

Responsibilities: 

  • Member Database Management: Update and manage member profiles, ensuring accuracy in names, contact details, and player ratings while also managing family memberships.
  • Database Reporting: Generate and analyze reports to assess membership statistics and categorize members effectively.
  • Event Creation: As directed, create and update club events in the online platform for round robins, tennis clinics, and tournaments.
  • Website Maintenance: Update and maintain the club's website to ensure content is current and relevant, as per guidance.
  • Administrative Duties: Organize and maintain an electronic file database to support efficient club operations.
  • Other: Additional administrative duties as required and directed by board members.

Requirements:

  • Organizational skills with an eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Pages, Numbers and PowerPoint
  • Some familiarity with website content management systems is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Access to a personal computer and the internet.

Community Focus

Canmore Tennis collects membership fees and non-member (guest) bookings and remits 75% of the money collected to the Town of Canmore to support our communities activities.
